Because This is What We Should Spend Our Taxpayer Dollars On…

Today, on FoxNews.com, I read about this man who is facing 6 months in prison for yawning during court proceedings.  Yes, I said “Yawning.”  Apparently the yawn occurred while his cousin was being sentenced for drug charges.
Okay, people.  We can probably assume that yes, this person was out of line…or maybe he was just tired.  [...]

Healthcare for Clunkers?

I have to question our government when it passes programs through that are supposed to last for months, only to have them last for 1 week!  The program I am talking about is Cash For Clunkers.
The government is further subsidizing the auto industry outside of the auto bailouts so that people can receive credit on [...]

To all you students that I have ever taught…

Interesting Article…

http://briansullivan.blogs.foxbusiness.com/2008/10/21/obamas-tax-cut-for-the-rich-and-republican/

I am not sure who I am voting for this election, but I thought this was a really interesting article.  I don’t want to incite riot or anything…just get opinions on the matter, and maybe even the “other side” to this argument.

Cheers!

I was not too impressed by MSN’s article this morning titled “Can a Family Eat on $100 a Week?.”  First I will say that I have the same size/age family as this woman.  She has a 4 year old, a toddler and her husband and herself.  I was astonished to learn that she normally spends [...]

Working Together for the Environment (It’s about time)

While watching the returns on Pennsylvania last night, I saw this commercial.  I was truly excited to see a prominent Democrat and a prominent Republican working together toward saving our planet.  Check it out and definitely go see the website.

What I can buy for the cost of milk…

Things that are costing me less than a gallon of milk:

A gallon of gas $3.29
A 12-pack of coke zero $3.49
A family size bag of Doritos $3.50
My school lunch $2.50
My entire bag of Coffee $3.69
My Nasal Decongestant (Pseudoephedrine-$2.99)
A small chicken $3.79-ish

…and the list goes on.  I find this quite bothersome.  Now, hear this–with the US slump [...]
