Mommy Problem #1–How To Keep the House Clean

It has been my experience the past 4 years that I am unable to keep our house clean if I am working fulltime.  Heck, I had a hard time keeping it clean even when I was home with Big Brother.  Recently I put much of my efforts into keeping just our living area and kitchen [...]

Now, you have to understand…I love our daycare.  Big Brother has been attending for almost 3 years.  Baby Boy has been there since August.  With that said, there are some things I hate about daycare.  Ear infections and green snot springs to mind.  Oh, and when you come to pick up the boys and you [...]

Coupons, Saving Money, and making Laundry Detergent

Well, I have been shopping for groceries by the month for 2 months now.  I really like it because I only have to go shopping (hardcore) once a month.  I also like it because I feel like I am saving a little money.  Here’s the problem…I have started shopping more with coupons at CVS and [...]

Ear Tubes, Ear Infections and Babies

Our Baby Boy is getting ear tubes.  We found out today.  He is getting them to prevent permanent hearing loss and damage to the inner ear from reoccuring ear infections and fluid buildup in his ears.  He will have his surgery on Thursday morning.  I got some additional info from Web MD.–

Working Together for the Environment (It’s about time)

While watching the returns on Pennsylvania last night, I saw this commercial.  I was truly excited to see a prominent Democrat and a prominent Republican working together toward saving our planet.  Check it out and definitely go see the website.

Toddler Problem #2–Hitting

I’ll never forget how much it bothered me when Big Brother started hitting.  He first did after he started walking.  I cannot remember how old he was exactly, but I do remember he did not understand a spanking at that point.  The reason it bothered me so is because I was worried it would start [...]

Big Brother’s Garden Update

For those of you who wondered if Radishes were a great 1st garden pick for a toddler/preschooler, I just wanted to report–They are!  It only took about a week before they started popping up in our garden.  Big Brother was really excited.  We have been watering the garden and the herbs everyday.  I am happy [...]

“Act Right!”–A Son Disciplines his Mother.

Tonight my oldest son, Big Brother, was getting into bed with me so I could read him his nightly bedtime story.  I was talking to him in a funny voice because we were being silly.  I guess he didn’t like the voice I was using because he asked me, “Mommy, are you being silly?”  I [...]

Toddler Problem#1 (Temper Tantrums)

The first toddler problem that I ever faced was temper tantrums.  Big Brother was about 7 or 8 months old before he really started having temper tantrums.  I think it began shortly after he started crawling.  For the first time he had some control over where he went.  He decided he wanted to go where [...]

…Ramblings of a love-struck wife…

I hardly ever write about my husband on this blog.  Generally I jot down stuff about what is going on and how the kids are doing.  The fact is my blog is mostly about my  eldest son (at least I notice that the pictures are primarily of him).  I have decided that this is partly [...]

“Daddy, Look! I Made an N! (my son’s artwork)

Today after we watered our garden in the backyard, Big Brother asked to play out on the back porch with his chalk.  I opened the door and the screen door so that he could call through the screen and ask for us if he needed to.  After being out there about 5 minutes, he called “Daddy, Look!  [...]
